Clarity

Clarity

I step into the River of Life,
carrying my heavy,
unspoken questions.
My stirred up thoughts
cloud the water.

When I am still for long enough,
the thoughts settle,
the water clears,
and glimmering minnows
gather at my feet.

Once again,
I am reminded
of the truth
that has always run through me.

I throw my questions
high into the air
where they catch the sunlight
and rain down into the water like diamonds.
They are swept away in the unending current.
