There is Beauty Everywhere

There is Beauty Everywhere

Even the tattered tarp
that covers the woodpile,
battered as it is
by the bitter wind,
cups a puddle
of rainwater
in its folds,
which it offers now,
like a chalice,
to the thirsting sparrows.
