Sense of Well-Being

Sense of Well-Being

Such a luxurious beginning,
the way I climb out
of this soft, warm bed
and have everything I need-
a bathrobe and slippers,
a toothbrush and paste,
a toilet that flushes,
ample coffee,
a shiny percolator,
precious fresh water,
a comfy chair,
a snoring dog,
a notebook,
my favorite pen,
and now,
I am ready.

Good morning, God.
What will it be today?
Already,
I am blessed
just to be
in this cozy home
on a brisk morning
and now I wait
to be filled
once more
with Light.

  1. Such a beautiful way to “bring in the day.” I find myself grateful for many of the same blessings, such simple creature comforts reflecting the Light if I allow them.

    1. Thank you, Barbara. I often overlook the simple things but they really are the blessings.
