Just When

Just When

Just when
I am most
unsettled,
walking
the frayed edge
of anxiety,

an unexpectedly
quiet,
rainy afternoon
comes along
and like a deep
exhalation,
peace
settles in
once again.

  1. Beautiful! Your words resonated with me. I love the statue beside the violets. So very tranquil.

    1. Thank you! My mom made that statue. I had it sitting in my kitchen for the longest time and then I had the idea to make it look out the window. She holds my spot when I am too busy to do so myself:)
