How He Worships
He wakes in the morning,
stretches his stiff bones,
dresses,
kisses his wife,
pours a cup of coffee
and steps out the door
into the garden
that he has planted,
tilling and sowing,
hoeing and pruning.
He walks the ground
and looks at each plant
in the slant morning haze.
He listens to the birds
that have taken refuge here,
then visits the chickens,
collecting four brown,
still warm eggs.
He sits on the porch and looks
in adoration
at the goodness
of God’s creation.

Nice. I live with a man who works and worships the same way.

Yup. He loves his garden, too!
I thought you were honoring my Jim!
Some of us are blessed to have such men.
They are the “salt of the earth.”
Yes, they are. We are blessed!
We should all worship like this.
Yes. Seeing the Creator in creation.
