Spring
Let’s fall in love again.
We’ll unlock this closed house,
Open the windows,
And sweep complacency
From the corners.
We’ll step out
Into this familiar garden.
Its been asleep,
Silent and forgotten,
This long and dismal winter.
Birds have returned,
With resounding lullaby,
And the sweet smell
Of last night’s rain
Penetrates the musty air.
Let’s fall in love again.
Spring’s warm sun
Melts hard hearts,
Entices new buds to swell,
And assures abundance
Once more.

Your words could be set to music…beautiful!
Thank you, Carol! A few of my poems have been set to music. I think it is probably a good challenge for a musician.

xoxoxoxoxo to you, Susan!!
Lovely…hope for “Spring” in the hearts of all Americans.
I certainly hope so, Nettie. Meanwhile, just keep spreading the love.
