One Step And Then Another
You can go along
In the darkness
For a very long time,
Just following the glimmer
Of light in the distance.
One step
And then another
In the only direction
You recognize
As true.
There is no fanfare,
No parade,
No one necessarily to lead
Or follow.
If you are a good observer,
You may see signposts
Along the way-
God’s little
Hot or cold hints.
Every once in a while, though,
There is a sense of acknowledgment,
A sureness in your soul.
You look back
At the path you have traveled
And suddenly,
It is lit up with stars.
It looks like it must have been
So easy
To get here.

Thank you, Robin. Its nice to have kindred spirits along the way!
That’s beautiful, Maria.
One step at a time and you will get there.
Yup! Thanks, Marian.
